Tales of killing and getting killed on the mats. Mostly about getting killed. Welcome to my life!

Last night
There's no feeling like going to bed all beat up and sore. Its probably the best sleep you could possibly get. Top it off with a Tempur pillow, and you're all set!
During training last night, we had 2 new visitors- one from Gracie Barra Cebu, and the other guy, a Judo black belt. The guy from Cebu was awesome. He just started training in January and he's already a four stripe white belt. The guy has incredible resistance.. he just kept on going on and on. He beat Mig, a two stripe blue belt and got Marc (3 stripe blue belt) and Franz (3 stripe blue belt) into several triangle chokes. Relentless is the word that comes to mind. The guy has excellent game!
Sparred against Paul last night and got his back a couple of times. I really need to fix my chokes! I was also able to sweep and pass him several times. Wasn't easy though since Paul is quite heavy. He kept on giving me the triple attack but I just couldn't finish the armbar! Arggggh!
Drills!
After Paul, I sparred with Marc and then practiced my seated half guard, which I am really enjoying!
Mig and Marc sparring
I had to sit out most of the lessons last night, because we were practicing submissions from North South. It makes me kind of uncomfortable, and I'm guessing its uncomfortable for a guy too. Ended up just doing it 3x per move. This is one of the reasons why I wish there was another girl training :( Oh well, what can you do.. right?
